Children's Workforce

Developing a world class workforce the Brathay Way

The Children’s Plan set out the government’s ambition that this should be the best country in the world for children and young people to grow up in.  It recognised that the people who work – and volunteer – with children and young people are critical to achieving those ambitions.

Brathay’s programmes for the Children’s Workforce share the government’s desire to develop a world class workforce where everyone who works with children and young people should be:

  • Ambitious for every child and young person
  • Excellent in their practice
  • Committed to partnership and integrated working
  • Respected and valued as professionals

Our programmes help staff gain the skills and inspiration to improve the lives of children & young people. These include

  • Multi-agency working  - for staff working in multi-agency teams.
  • Nationally commissioned NCSL MATD programmes to support achievement of collaborative advantage.
  • Positive educational outcomes  - Team development work across the education sector.

We are proud to be supporting the Greater Manchester Challenge, which is raising levels of attainment and achievement across the Greater Manchester area.

Leadership capacity building  - Leadership development to support current and aspiring leaders to develop the knowledge and behaviours set out in Championing Children.
